The Dangerous Beauty

This project was one of my final year of university projects where I decided to design a tv-show documentary of the Greek Myth Medusa. The character Medusa is usually portrayed as the villain or the side quest for the hero of the story, for this version I wanted to make Medusa the main character and show her backstory of how she was the Priestess of Athena the Goddess of Wisdom’s temple to the monster she then became. I designed for ten characters from the story and then deciding on making the costume of Medusa. In this project I included embroidery, breaking down, armoury and leather work and a headpiece of snakes.
