The Juliet Dress

This project was one of my final year of university projects where I chose to re-design William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet in the Romantic Era. Historical garments being one of my favourite interests, I chose to set the play in a decade that I have been looking forward to doing. I designed for ten of the characters in the play and then deciding on making the costume of Juliet. The main focus of this project being my hand embroidery skills. I really wanted to push myself within the technique to create something that is striking and eye-catching.
